ChamSys QuickQ 20Â Overview
Control your stage, studio, or live entertainment lighting system with the ChamSys QuickQ 20 Console. This intuitive lighting control console handles two DMX universes with up to 1024 DMX512 addresses on a maximum of 1024 control parameters, 20 multifunction faders, and a 9.7″ touchscreen display. Built-in Wi-Fi allows you to remotely control the unit from any Android or iOS device using the free, downloadable QuickQ app.
The user-friendly interface leads you through setup, programming, and operation making it possible for the console to be easily operated by a novice user. It offers easy-to-understand buttons, faders, and programmable color, intensity, and positioning tools with scrolling and zooming at your fingertips and with simple cue/chase functions for playback. Free downloadable software that works with Mac or Windows operating systems provides offline programming that may be stored on an optional flash drive and later inserted into the QuickQ console for program recall and deployment.
Two dedicated hue and saturation encoders enable ample color control, and an HDMI port allows for optional external monitoring of the Output and Home console windows in resolutions up to 1920×1080. An extensive and continuously updated ChamSys personality library provides the QuickQ with access to over 45,000 personalities, and QuickQ shows can be loaded into any MagicQ system for seamless compatibility with a wide range of even more advanced ChamSys MagicQ consoles.
- The console provides patching options for dimmers and multiparameter devices via a built-in library of over 32,000 fixture profiles.
- Integrated Wi-Fi enables connectivity to an iOS or Android device running a remote control application to display and control any window independently of the console, which can used as a secondary display or wireless focus remote.
- The console features a recovery system that allows for the operating system to be restored if required.
- Two USB ports facilitate the show data being saved for archival backups or for transfer to other consoles or on a personal computer.
- The console supports automatic patching and addressing for fixtures connected using Remote Device Management (RDM) on the local DMX/RDM port.
- The DMX universes can be output either via the DMX ports or the Ethernet port on the console via network protocols of ArtNet or sACN.
- The console features a dedicated master fader for overall level control.
- Intensity, position, color, and beam effects are available via each attribute window and are customizable for speed, size, and parts controls.
- Up to 5000 cues may be stored within a single show file on the console and multiple show files may be loaded and saved within the console memory.
- Playback and Execute window items can be triggered automatically at scheduled times or days without further user interaction.
