The Hosa Stereo 1/4″ Male to 2 XLR (1 male, 1 female) Y-Cable is a practical Send/Return (also known as Insert) cable. It’s designed to connect the Channel Insert Point on a mixer to an outboard gear equipped with XLR connectors. This setup allows you to send audio signals from the mixer’s insert point through the 1/4″ male connector (Send) to the connected outboard gear. The cable then splits into two XLR connectors: one male (for receiving the processed audio signal, Return) and one female (for additional output or return as needed). This cable is ideal for integrating external effects processors or other audio equipment into both studio setups and live sound environments.
