AtlasIED VP60R Vandal-Proof Recessed Speaker Baffle

The AtlasIED VP60R is a reinforced, protective baffle assembly designed for the tamperproof recessed installation of a standard 8″ cone speaker or an APF Series re-entrant horn (requires adapter plate Model FAMT-6 for horn installation). This rugged baffle ensures maximum protection for speakers in high-security environments, making it ideal for public spaces, schools, and other vulnerable areas.

The trim ring is constructed from a special aluminum alloy with a tensile strength of 44,000 P.S.I., featuring a 3/4″ shielding collar that protects the speaker from direct impacts. The speaker is securely mounted to welded studs behind a perforated 22-gauge CRS plate, which is further protected by a stainless steel-woven wire mesh screen positioned 3/8″ in front of the plate for direct impact protection. The mesh screen is reinforced by a bead of sealant on the inside to prevent tearing or bending.

The unit is installed using tamperproof heat-treated alloy screws, which are countersunk for added security. A special wrench is supplied for secure installation. The baffle and enclosure are finished in satin aluminum with an acrylic coating for durability and aesthetics.
