Using the positioning data provided from both the voice and camera pickup, Yamaha’s new SoundCap Eye AI technology pinpoints participant’s locations and blocks out unwanted background noise in potentially noisy environments, ensuring that everyone in the room can be heard clearly by the participants on the far end of the call—it’s like having a skilled movie director, cameraman, and sound director working together behind the scenes. Connect either optional headphones or speakers with a built-in amplifier to hear the remote party in a videoconference call.
Automatic display launch with easy-to-follow instructions allow for a quick jump into collaboration sessions. With just one USB connection to their laptop in BYOD environments, users can be up and running in no time. A multifunction remote with a large mute button on top allows easy control, configuration, and simple muting of your conferencing application. The unit can either be placed on a credenza or cabinet, or with a variety of options (available separately), mounted on top of a display, on a tripod, on a wall, or using a VESA bracket.
- The microphone is arranged in an hexagonal array. This shape creates a focused microphone beam that more accurately captures words spoken during conversations, producing a clearer and more precise sound compared to traditional video sound bars.
- Face information from the video stream is also collected, allowing the beam to focus on active speakers within the meeting area.
Face Focus Beamforming
- Face Focus Beamforming picks up your conversations while reducing the distracting noise around you. The CS-500 camera tracks the faces of participants in the meeting area using AI and limits the audio beams to these locations.
Self-Silence
- The CS-500 includes a self-silence function that automatically mutes the microphone when the conference participants are not speaking.
Self-Volume Balancer
- With the self-volume balancer function, the CS-500 automatically adjusts the volume, according to the ambient noise, to keep an appropriate speaker volume level.

- The CS-500 recognizes users entering the room and can automatically wake up the display via HDMI-CEC.
- The CS-500 displays a guide on the room display, explaining how to use the room technology and start a meeting.
- All functionalities: audio, camera, and display (DisplayLink) are connected to user’s laptop via just one USB cable (included).
- The multifunction remote allows easy control and configuration. On top, there is the large mute button, allowing simple muting of your calls.
- Hidden underneath are some more advanced controls, allowing interaction with the On-Screen Display, and manual control of the camera, audio, and feature activation.
