Description

Yamaha MY16-MD64 Overview

The Yamaha MY16-MD64 MADI Multi-channel Audio Networking Expansion Card is ideal for expanding your current installation up to 64 channels in conjunction with MY16-EX expansion cards. Each additional MY16-EX card can add 16 channels (1 card for 32 channels, 2 cards for 48 channels and 3 cards for 64 channels).
This card provides bi-directional transfer of up to 64 channels with coaxial connections for runs up to 100 meters and optical connections for runs up to 2,000 meters.
With its versatility, stability, and reduced installation and maintenance costs, it’s obvious to see why many production, broadcasting and recording facilities are using MADI interfaces to transmit accurate audio data over long distances.

  • Coaxial connections allow for runs up to 100 meters
  • Optical connections allow for runs up to 2,000 meters
  • Failsafe redundancy automatically switches from optical to coaxial inputs and outputs in case of accidental disconnection
  • Optical interface provides total isolation from electromagnetic noise and interference
  • Compatible with Yamaha devices that accept mini-YGDAI expansion cards and MADI devices from other manufacturers
